Contraption by Marcus Lamontagne

It all started with us trying to shoot bottle rockets at a Port-a-Potty in our backyard.  To think that we were trying to acquire such a menacing target with primitive instruments such as glass bottles, dirt mounds, and brooms.  The broom wasn't that shabby of a launching platform, since it was a mildly snug cylindrical tube.  It was compact enough for us to weild but it didn't offer much in the sense of comfort or safety.

Then Chris and Marcus found a small metal tube laden with dirt lying unused, unappreciated on the ground.  I could almost feel Marcus' mind cogs ticking away.  He took it into the workshop(Our garage) to start work on it.  Now, we don't have the pictures of the contraption but since we've started building a better, more refined device this is all moot anyway.  I do have some rad screens of us shooting it though, which is awesome!

Now, the contraption really was just a guerilla-rig of random household items.  Marcus built a blastshield out of cardboard and made a viewport out of one of those little clear plastic things that hold cookies and crackers.  Jakob started the idea of a muzzle flash suppresor out of a plastic cup but Marcus felt that it would compromise the integrity of the whole thing so instead, we designed it into somewhat of a combustion chamber in the back to protect the user from the blast stream and also so make it look really badass.

And now, pictures!!!
